Wedding Done

Well, I am done with all the wedding photos I had waiting. I get to deliver the photos for both weddings tomorrow and I will be done. Maybe. I enjoyed both weddings I shot this year. Especially the one where I got the shot you see here. It was done for a friend, which I know is something you should never do, even if you are a pro. I don’t normally do weddings, but I think things at both weddings I shot this summer turned out well. The feedback I have received so far has all been positive, which is always nice to hear when it comes from those who know what they are talking about.

I have been asked if I would like to do more weddings. I don’t know. It is an awful lot of work. I really need to spend some time working of strobe use and invest in a lot more equipment before I tackle weddings for someone I don’t know. I am planning to take the artificial lighting class at Las Postias College, here in Livermore, if is offered in the Spring semester. If nothing else, it will force me to work on my photography on a regular basis for a while.

I would however love to do more engagement or couples photos. I really love photographing people and feel like I am able to put them at ease so they can relax and let their natural beauty shine through.
