Geeky Goodness

I do what I can to spend as much time on a bike as possible. I really enjoy cycling and it’s much easier on my knees than running or hiking, and I like to think that I’m doing a little something for the environment. And yes, I am occasionally one of those dorks with his pants legs rolled up to keep them out of the chain. I even carry a messenger bag from time to time, especially when I’m on my way to pick up my weekly comic books.

The bane of most cyclists are motorists who don’t know, or ignore, the law. I personally had someone make a right turn, with no signal mind you, into a parking space. I hit the brakes and promptly slid into their car. I did a little damage and the drivers husband was livid until he realized that they were completely in the wrong and if the police were called it result in nothing but problems for them.

I wonder if Chewbacca ever has problems like that. Maybe if I were almost eight feet tall and furry, I would have less issues with motorists while on my bike. This is an awesome shirt by Kindred Market. I’m thinking of picking on up in hopes that just the aura of Chewie will fend of any ignorant motorists. Probably not, but it’s still a great shirt worthy of a few ducats. Even if he is riding a fixie.
