I think writers often fall to victim to two things which impede their work. Procrastination and distraction.
Last night I had every intention of spending a couples hours working on my website and writing. I took care of the duck’s pen and was on my way to the desk when distraction struck. A good friend reminded me that it was “Thirsty Thursday” at the Livermore Farmers Market. This meant not only good food, an evening outside with friends, and music but wine as well. Once you buy the glass the price isn’t to bad. $1 a taste, $5 a glass. But you have to buy the glass.
I did bring my notebook and actually pulled in a couple ideas. Not an easy task we your surroundings look like the shot above. Wine, food, music, and shovel loads b.s. with good friends. There are worse ways to spend an evening.
