Fame is hard work, no doubt. We may sneer at some of the antics performed by celbrities, and feel jealousy for the money they have and the freedom that it affords them. However, they do work for it. And, if they didn’t work to get there, they work when they arrive.
Nobody makes their fame on their own. Every famous, successful person out there has enjoyed the support of others at some point; be it living at home until they are in their thirties, or the right director, or agent, and of course their fans believing in them. Support in many forms is an intergral key to fame and success.
So, I ask you dear readers: If I support you when I’m famous, will you support me while I get there?.

I don’t know if it’s because I just don’t know how to relax, I’m often accused of being a work-a-holic, or I just can’t stand the idea of someone coming over and me not being dressed. Maybe I’m just not into comfort. I don’t know.

For this bastion of Jedi luxury however, I would be willing to give comfort and relaxation a try. Things like this offering from ThinkGeek bring out the true nerd in me. I am one of the few with an equal love for the both the Trek and the Wars. I don’t know what that says about me. I guess I’m just a little greedy, I want it all.

Normally I would just as soon put on a sweatshirt to stay warm in the morning. That way, I’m ready for anything. Unexpected company or an emergency trip to the store to restock the coffee shelf. Yes, I have coffee shelf in my house. A whole shelf . . . just for coffee. Ahhh, coffee. Oh yeah. If this robe happened to show up at my door, I would get used to it. I might even wear it out to pick up supplies to restock the coffee shelf. Ahhh, coffee shelf.

So it’s a little late for this, considering St. Patrick’s day is nearly over on the West coast and gone for you Easterners, but since it is still St. Patty’s day here for me, I thought I would share what it’s actually about. Most of us learned about the driving snakes out of Ireland story back in elementary school, but there is a whole lot more to the man that that. No, he wasn’t a leprechaun and he didn’t have a pot of gold. I found this great video that does a good job of explaining just what this holiday so associated with corn beef, cabbage and beer is really all about. Remember all of you atheists out there, when you are hoisting that fetid concoction of piss-water beer and green food dye, you are really celebrating the life and works of an actually Catholic saint.

I’m on my way visit one of my favorite cities. I love spending the day in San Francico, and today I am fortunate enough to make this trip for the express purpose of making photographs. I have made a few such trips over the last couple years, and I am pleased that my photos have improved as time has gone on. San Francisco is a wealth of of creative inspiration. Hell, just the BART ride can be inspiring. From my usual seat near the door, I can hear four distinct languages and get to chuckle at the banter between a mother and her young son. I am also surrounded by a multitude of interesting, and beautiful people. I would like to photograph them all, but I’m not sure they would all understand.

Oh well, another twenty minutes and a guy with a camera will be the least intrusive thing for blocks.

It’s been a year. I haven’t always been consistent, but I still feel accomplished. I don’t always have the best follow through when it comes to my own projects, and I feel like keeping this blog moving, be it slow and deliberate, is an accomplishment worth celebrating. I think I’ll celebrate by working harder on this site and finding freelance clients.

I feel like I should be doing a recap, or making resolutions for the future, but I think I’ll save that for the end of the calendar year.
